The following Warwick job has been amended:

Research Fellow in Bioinformatics

Warwick Systems Biology Centre

£25,888 - £33,780 pa

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

You will assist in the development of a strong profile for WSB in data
management and methods integration in a number of large scale collaborative
systems biology projects. These include a study of global metabolic switching in
Streptomyces coelicolor, funded through the European transnational funding and
research initiative SYSMO and a £5M BBSRC SABR award to the Universities of
Warwick, Exeter and Essex, which will develop models of how plants cope with
environmental stress.

You will provide bioinformatics support for ongoing collaborative projects,
including primary microarray data analysis and develop and implement databases,
user interfaces and workflows for interrogating and linking disparate data types
and modelling software.

You should have a PhD in Bioinformatics or Computer Science, with relevant
experience. Experience in microarray data analysis and relational database
development in a UNIX environment (including languages such as Perl, XML and
SQL) and software engineering are essential. You should be keen to interact with
biologists and previous experience of working in a multidisciplinary scientific
environment is desirable.
